TriStar Home Cleaning Systems should only be purchased from Authorized TriStar Distributors. No manufacturer’s warranty accompanies a TriStar purchased from an unauthorized source. Please don’t make the mistake of purchasing your TriStar or Parts and Supplies through an unauthorized source.
Below are some of the risks associated with buying from an unauthorized source.
WARNING – There are many generic parts, bags and filters that are being sold online so you have no idea if they are made to Tristar manufacturer specifications or if they even will fit properly and therefore can potentially be harmful to your machine. Additionally, different parts fit specific models, for which different supplies may be appropriate. These are among the reasons why we recommend against the purchase of products from unauthorized sellers on such websites as Amazon, eBay, Walmart or from Online Vacuum Cleaner Stores. These websites, misleadingly stating that the items being offered are “Sold by TriStar,” incorrectly suggest that the seller is the TriStar manufacturer or an Authorized TriStar Distributor.
In fact, the TriStar manufacturer does not sell directly on these websites, nor would it approve of any Authorized Distributor doing so. The items are not “Sold by TriStar;” that are offered for sale by potentially unauthorized businesses..
To help ensure you receive Quality Tristar Parts and Supplies always make sure you are purchasing from an Authorized Tristar Distributor and that items such as Paper Bags and Filters have the Tristar trademark logo printed directly on them, not just the outer packaging. The Tristar limited warranty does not cover damage resulting from services performed by any person other than an Authorized Tristar Distributor.
The Tristar Manufacturer and its Authorized Distributors only honor warranties on Tristar Units purchased from Authorized Tristar sources. Units purchased over the Internet do not come with any manufacturer’s warranty.
Many times a unit advertised as “new” is actually used or refurbished, or you may end up with a defective unit that has had non-factory Parts, Bags and Filters installed or has water or electrical damage. These can lead to future service problems you will not discover until it is too late.
If a warranty is offered by an unauthorized source (such as an Internet seller) you will often be required to pack up the unit and return it to them, at your expense; you cannot deliver it to the nearest authorized TriStar distributor for service. This is a costly and time-consuming undertaking with no guarantee that repairs will be properly performed.
